A new family business
In April, Ralph Sr. and Margaret Lies purchase Clendenin Ice and Coal of La Porte and rename it City’s Pure Ice.

1974
A permanent home
Ralph moves the growing business to the La Porte location where City’s Pure Ice still operates today.

The next generation
Ralph Jr. (Bud) and Linda Lies take ownership and continue the family tradition of ice manufacturing and wholesale distribution.

City’s Pure Ice continues serving the region from La Porte, with high-volume summer service and custom ice block sculptures throughout the winter.

SHARE Foundation
SHARE Foundation is a nonprofit Christian organization serving the residential, vocational, and social needs of other-abled adults. Its 185-acre Sharing Meadows community offers a place to live, work, and relax in peace and dignity.
The organization receives no government support and relies on private donations, fundraising, professional staff, and hundreds of volunteers.

American Brain Tumor Association
Founded in 1973, the American Brain Tumor Association funds brain tumor research and provides information and education for patients, families, and caregivers across all tumor types and age groups.
Its resources support people throughout diagnosis, treatment, and care while research funding helps pursue future breakthroughs.
